YOUR STAY

Dakota Lodge: Our pheasant hunting lodge sleeps 10 hunters in 5 rooms with 2 single beds each. We have 3 bathrooms, a recreation area, large dining room and a relaxation room. There are decks on both east and west sides to watch our picturesque sunrises and sunsets.

The Food: A large breakfast and dinner is served each day with a light mid-day lunch. These meals are good old South Dakota cooking. Our returning hunters look forward to the food as much as the game bird hunting.

Our Staff: Mid Dakota Pheasant Lodge is run entirely by our family. I, Joe Hanten, am the owner and guide. My wife Paulena is the primary chef. We have 4 children: Rachel 20, Jordan 17, Brandon 14, and Luke 13. Everyone helps out by cleaning birds, guiding when needed and helping around the lodge.
